Résumé

Prophecy: A Journal for Tomorrow intends to serve as a catalyst of a better tomorrow for the Jewish People and the State of Israel by featuring new visions for how to build up Israel from the triple disasters of 2023: the fracture of the nation by the judicial push, the terrible offensive launched against Israel by Hamas, and the coordinated campaign to mobilize global elites and institutions against Israel to put an end to the Jewish State and ostracize Jews, worldwide.
Everywhere we look we see people searching for hope, searching for a reason to keep going, keep fighting, keep working to rehabilitate the State and the Diaspora. They and we are sorely lacking a vision to guide us. A light in the darkness. A prophecy describing what could be, if only we worked to make it so. There was a time of darkness when our people kindled a new light: two millennia ago, the ideas of Yavneh built a portable Jerusalem.
Little more than a century ago Jews young and old gathered in cafes and tea houses to pull together journals and societies to charted a new path for the Jewish People. Connecting minds across continents, spurring creativity and imagination arming pioneers to build the future. Leon Pinsker, Theodor Herzl, Asher Ginsburg, Henrietta Szold, Ze'ev Jabotinsky, Jacqueline Kahanoff. Ideas that reached beyond the politics of the moment and inspired the creation of the State of Israel.75 years into the life of the State we were once again plunged into darkness.
Where there is no light, we will be that light. Prophecy: The Journal for Tomorrow will provide a 21st century platform for today's visionaries and activists to imagine together the state that can be by describing what should be. Each contribution - either as an essay or piece of prose, poetry, audio or visual art - will touch upon an aspect of a possible future and is intended to spark exploration and debate.
Each issue will bring together people from across the ideological, geographic, and religious spectrum who agree on one thing: we need a new movement to realize the collective potential of the Jewish People, to rehabilitate the state of the Jewish People in the world.
