She joined the cleaning industry in 1992 and grew her business from a one women delivering pamphlets and cleaning to a franchised organisation across Australia employing and training domestic cleaners. in 2012 The Duster Dollies became a consultancy for Hygiene Management and Cleaning, with Julie writing books and articles for magazines on cleaning, becoming the cleaning expert on Radio and Television and traveling the world as a mystery hotel guest, reporting on the cleanliness of the rooms and properties.
Julie is currently engaged in encouraging the United Nations to adopt the 2020 as the Year of the Cleaner to improve hygiene and the status of cleaners around the world.
