Wolf Driscoll-disillusioned former theoretical physicist; now science journalist and author-thought that the day he buried his long-estranged wife was the worst in his and his dangerously-close-to-adult daughter Cyn's life. But things were about to get worse, because this was just the beginning of his and Cyn's life being turned upside down. Cassie Yoshida should have-but foolishly had not-anticipated that Third Eye, the event-prediction software she had developed, would attract the attention not only of law enforcement, but of the highest levels at the National Security Agency.
All of which meant that suddenly her ground-breaking research and developments, as well as Cassie herself, became objects of 'National Security'. But she had no intention of becoming just another cog in the operations of organizations that would make her an effective prisoner. And so she decided not to cooperate-with predictable and shocking consequences. FBI Special Agent Terry Wheeler was determined to beat the NSA to find Cassie, who had gone underground and was nowhere to be found.
He thought that his twenty years with the agency should make it comparatively easy for him to locate her. What he found instead was the last thing could possibly have expected.
