Résumé
They say write about what you know. Well! I know about reading books, hundreds of them. Read well to write well!I decided to share some reading suggestions in this little book, "Precious Quiet Time: "The Novel a Week" One Year Challenge."Some of the most important moments in my life are those when nothing happens. I call it "Quiet time." On the days when Sue goes off to work at 5:10 a.m., OMG, for one of her long days at the hospital, our three dogs, Holmes, Gizmo, and Gunbi, are all worked up.
That's why I instigated early morning "Quiet time, " for them, too. I like to start my day with a cup of tea, a cogitate, and a quiet read. Crazy dogs don't fit in there too well. So, I turn off the lights, and say to the dogs, "Quiet time." Gunbi and Gizmo rush into the bedroom and jump on the bed. Holmes settles down on the couch, and we all calm down."Quiet Time, " is a precious commodity in modern America.
Avoiding light and noise pollution is a real challenge. Find yourself some "Quiet Time, " read a good book, even one a week if you want to take on my challenge. Here are 52 great book selections. Ones I've enjoyed a great deal. Happy reading!-kev
