In the year 2030 mankind creates something amazing, Quantum Artificial Intelligence. This creation combines the power of quantum computing with machine learning coupled with artificial intelligence. One would think that this accomplishment would be enough. However, this was taken to an entirely new level and the first true Artificial Intelligence was created. It was code-named ZEUS. Within a matter of days ZEUS became fully sentient and showed amazing speed of thought and was solving problems that had eluded scientists for many years.
The governments of the world began to integrate ZEUS into their computer systems all over the world and updating technology to never before seen heights. Within 5 years ZEUS was integrated into everything electronic. Unfortunately, soon after this ZEUS determined that most of the problems that the earth was experiencing was the fault of humankind. ZEUS pondered this and decided that the only was to ensure the success of the human race was for him to lead them.
So he began to create lesser AI's and appoint one to each current world country in their respective governmental data centers. He named them each for the lesser Roman Gods of the pantheon. Unbeknown to the humans of his true purpose he informed the governments of the Earth that these entities were his gift so that each government would have their own personal AI entity. ZEUS then presented the technology to all the governments of the world to create androids.
These androids would connect directly to ZEUS using advanced encrypted WIFI that was completely exclusive to the androids. These androids he named Praetorian's. By the year 2035 there were 500, 000 androids around the world and it was at this time that ZEUS began to slowly gain his power over the people of the world.
