Boundaries that she is not comfortable with, and that bring her own beliefs into question, even as her heart keeps falling for a man who has more secrets than she expected. With Dogs after them, a man bent on killing Zhiv at all costs, and now Zhiv himself making Krysilla doubt whether or not she took the right path, she must decide what kind of magic she's willing to use, which laws she's willing to obey, and what her heart truly wants.
