Garrison Kappa-9 was supposed to be a quiet frontier posting. Then the Swarm found it. When an alien hive intelligence sets its sights on Veridian IV, a Staff Sergeant with more sarcasm than backup has to hold a crumbling perimeter with a skeleton crew, a deadpan AI named BETTY who narrates every disaster with total indifference, and an engineer named Wrench who fixes things with duct tape, spite, and the occasional unauthorized explosive.
