Peacemaker

Set in 1880 in the lawless Indian Territory of Oklahoma, Pinkerton Agent Colleen O'Keefe goes undercover as the frontier town's undertaker to track a gang of violent bank robbers. Her goal is simple: uncover their hideout and disappear. But when a white boy is murdered near the reservation's border, racial tension threatens to ignite open conflict. Indian Agent Cody Colson, half white and half Cheyenne, is tasked with preserving a fragile peace between his tribe and the townsfolk neither side trusts.
Believing assimilation is the only way his mother's people will survive into the future, he walks a dangerous line made even more perilous by Colleen's probing questions and undeniable pull. As the investigation tightens and secrets surface, Colleen and Cody must risk their lives and their hearts to stop two gangs of outlaws before the territory erupts into violence.
