Résumé
Come and meet St. John, the last living Apostle of Jesus, in a way you have never seen him. Most know that St. John received the New Testament Book of Revelation on Patmos, but John's story went far, far beyond that Scriptural account. He was tried before Domitian Caesar in Rome, then exiled to a penal colony on the Greek Island of Patmos. There John expelled demons, healed the sick and much more as he shared the good news of Jesus Christ, beginning a new Christian Church on the remote island. Patmos, the Novel, is based upon both John's New Testament writings and a small biography of John's life on Patmos, discovered at the John the Evangelist Monastery on Patmos.
It was written by Prochorus, John's scribe, friend, and one of the deacons named in Acts 6:5. As part of this book, Prochorus' account takes this story far beyond most known details of John's exile. Come share in the drama, the humor and many of the real people who lived on Patmos during the time of St. John, including many of the Apostolic Fathers who would take the message of Christ into the Second Century and beyond.
