Die Autorin greift ein aktuelles, ethisch reflexionswürdiges Thema in der Praxis stationärer Hospizversorgung auf: die dauerhafte tiefe Palliative Sedierung am Lebensende. Im Rahmen des partizipativen Forschungsprozesses wurden wiederkehrende ethische Fragestellungen und Unsicherheiten erfasst, die in den stationären Hospizen im Kontext der Behandlungsoption existieren. Dieser Band expliziert indes nicht nur die ethischen Konfliktpotenziale, sondern bietet der hospizlichen Praxis zugleich ein konkretes, handlungsleitendes Verfahren an, hin zu einer ethisch begründeten Entscheidungsfindung: eine Ethik-Leitlinie.
Das Buch verbindet pflegewissenschaftliche Forschung mit praxisbezogener Replik, es verbindet die Sensibilisierung für ethische Reflexion mit ethisch begründeter Entscheidungsfindung. The author concentrates on a recent, ethical subject, worth of reflection in the practice of stationary hospice care: the continuous Palliative sedation at the end of life. During the participative research process recurrent ethical questions and unclarities were collected existing in stationary hospices concerning the treatment options.
This volume not only presents ethical conflict potentials, but also offers a clear practice-oriented method in hospice care that leads to an ethical motivated decision-making: an ethics guide. This book combines not only nursing science and research with practice-oriented replica but also the awareness for ethical reflections with ethical motivated decision-making.
