Résumé

When a nine-year-old girl fails to arrive home after climbing off the school bus, a community is galvanized into action. Daisy Green, a lawyer at Sydney Legal, has a daughter, Emma, who travels on the same bus. She's beyond grateful her daughter is safe, but feels for the mother of the girl who has disappeared. Christian Grayson is also a lawyer at Sydney Legal and he's closer to the awful incident than anyone might think.
His uncle is the bus driver and Christian is currently staying in his uncle's house. Christian and Daisy bond over their combined efforts to find the missing girl. Then Emma disappears on her way home from school and the community is put on high alert. Daisy is beyond herself with terror. What has happened to Emma and where is she? Daisy will have to rely on Christian to find out.
From an early age, Chris devoured romance books. After graduating University as a lawyer and working nearly fifteen years in the legal industry, her thirst for criminal intrigue was well and truly whetted. She's managed to successfully combine the two in her gritty, fast-paced Australian romantic suspense novels. Chris has authored more than thirty books and still writing! Her hugely popular Munro Family Series has been downloaded more than half a million times.
She has also written the Sydney Harbour Hospital Series and the Sydney Legal Series, calling on her past experience as a nurse and lawyer. Chris is married to Linden and together with their five children live on a small farm in rural New South Wales, Australia.
