Opposite of Empire

The desire for Empire (our own Empire) exists in the minds of almost everyone. I know. I found it lurking in mine. When I realized that, I thought, "No! No! That's not what I want! I want the Opposite of Empire. But to find out what that meant for myself and others, I had to first look at why that desire was in me. I had to look at why Empires exist. I had to look at ways to direct our thoughts away from Empires.
One of those is letting go of control. So, I included some poetry that I was writing at the same time on that subject. Finally, I included examples that are the Opposite of Empire to give us a better picture of what we might do. It's one thing (not easy) to walk away from Empire. It's another (better, but still not easy) to walk into one of it's Opposites.
