Résumé
"Open Sky" is a collection of 9 wonderful original compositions for Solo Guitar written by Austrian guitar virtuoso Daniel Oman. The tunes are written in standard notation and tablature, with a special version in traditional notation only just for the classical player, who is used to play without tablature. More than 70 online videos with a total duration of more than 3 hours will help you go through the details of the composition in a slow tempo, with a close-up view of the right and left hand.
Playing Level: medium / advanced Daniel Oman studied the classical guitar at Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria. In 1998 he won 1st prize at the international guitar competition of the Open Strings Guitar Festival in Osnabrück (GER) with his own compositions. As a solo player and member of international ensembles and groups he performed in a wide spectrum of genres, from early music to avantgarde.
He played countless concerts all over Europe and the middle East and participated as a sideman on more than 30 CD productions. Recordings and publications of his compositions for the instrument took a lot attention in the world of modern acoustic guitar music. Through his compositions he wants to reflect on the wide variety of musical styles he is involved, but also wants to create snapshots of an inner view of the beauty of allday life. The pieces: Pyramid / Open Sky / Early Winter Light / Love Scene with Variations / Room No 15 / Morning Mood / Ballad for a Sunken Ship / Teat with Frederic / Child on the Beach
