Levi is a wanderer at heart and he's got his sights on getting out of Mistletoe, Montana. Now. When he gets in a horrible accident and is rescued by a beautiful stranger, Levi starts to question if what he thinks he wants is really what he wants. The only things holding him in place at the woman's house are some bruises and a winter storm that, like all good things, must eventually come to an end.
He learns her name is Tarryn and she's more interesting than anyone he's met in a long time. But the storm ends and he has to leave. He wants to stay, and there are a thousand reasons why he should. Her ex- being one of them. Tarryn needs a husband to protect her from her ex, but she can't do that to Levi. Not the one guy who makes her feel like she's worth something more. When things go from bad to worse, she realizes she has to ask for help and that has to come in the form of a marriage of convenience.
And marriage is the last thing on either of their minds. If she convinces Levi to help her, she's in danger of losing her heart and she'll be worse off than before.
