One For Sorrow Two For Joy

On the verge of being court martialled for desertion, a disobedient soldier escapes to Earth and assumes a dead man's identity, but when his ruthless superiors hunt him down, he realises that his need for freedom could unknowingly trigger a galactic war that threatens us all. Neither the cruellest prisons of Baron Bloodthane nor the Banshee hordes of Goremageddon can hold him. Breaking out of his captors' clutches and fleeing blindly to the world called Earth, he reinvents himself as the master thief known only as Magpie.  Jurgen wants freedom from the tyranny of his home planet, but he is being stalked by a series of bizarre and sinister foes.  As if worrying about being hunted down isn't enough, he must confront his father AND risk losing his woman.  But his flight from Goremageddon jeopardises the fragile peace with the planet Dawnhaven, and the Baron's malevolent agents will not rest until their former prisoner is back in chains.
