Résumé

Theo is brokenhearted when he accidentally lets go of the string of his party balloon. As he watches it float out of sight, Theo wonders where his balloon might have gone. Luckily, his older brother Zeke knows everything about everything. Zeke explains that it is a little-known fact that all lost balloons end up in Chicago, the Windy City. Then he tells Theo about Frank, who is responsible for collecting all the balloons in the world.
Theo is so touched by Frank's story that he decides to send him a message of hope the only way he knows how. A unique story filled with the magic and whimsy of childhood imagination, Once Upon a Balloon will delight young readers and reawaken the child in all of us.

À propos des auteurs

Bree Galbraith is a graduate student of the Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She uses narrative in much of her work and was thrilled when a class project became her first published children's book, Once Upon a Balloon. Bree works as a graphic designer in Vancouver, where she lives with her family. Isabelle Malenfant has a bachelor's degree in graphic design, but never worked in the field because she fell in love with illustration first.
She likes to mix mediums such as watercolor, pastels and charcoal to create poetic and sensitive worlds. Isabelle has illustrated more than a dozen children's books, including Maggie's Chopsticks (Kids Can), which was awarded the Christie Harris Illustrated Children's Literature Prize. She was born in northern Quebec, between gold mines and lakes, in the city of Val-d'Or. Isabelle lives in Magog, Quebec, with her little family.
