Petal survived a bad breakup and bad press for her new business, but things are finally looking up. That is until her ex calls and suggests they go to dinner-as if she isn't seven months pregnant with his baby. Over Italian food, he proposes a challenge: cross as many items off their bucket lists as possible before the baby arrives. Petal is adamant that they are not back together, despite what it looks like from their sunrise hot-air balloon ride. Meanwhile, her sister sets her up on a blind date with Andrew, a man who represents everything Petal needs.
He's honest and dependable. The fact that he loves kids is just a bonus. As they start spending time together, Petal is faced with a decision: should she go with the familiarity of her ex or embrace something new and promising? She doesn't have unlimited time to think. Every day brings her a step closer to her daughter's birth, and she must decide what role Jason and Andrew will play. What will Petal do to pursue her own happiness? She finds that it may not be in the places she has spent her whole life searching.
