Old Cars: A Short Story

Jamie Pearce and Tammy Mattheis travel to beautiful northern Michigan, to a small town on the shores of Lake Superior, to meet Jamie's uncle Brendan and seventeen-year old cousin Carly. Soon, a very important decision must be made concerning Carly, who is gifted, intelligent, and autistic. It's not a decision that can be made flippantly. Jamie remembers a dream his foster dad Lloyd told him of shortly before he died, of how wrecked, broken cars or old cars with worn engines will one day be traded in for shiny, beautiful cars.
