This is her first novel, written during Nanowrimo month, November. encouraged by peers in the writing group "Write on the Edge" in Yuma AZ. She was born in Denmark, emigrated to Canada in 1960 with family. She was eleven years of age. At the young age of sixteen Kirsten married her forever husband who was seventeen. They had a daughter and a son. After spending most of their life in Alberta they now reside in British Columbia, near their daughter, son in law, and two grandchildren.

The characters shortened their names when they met. OH is a boy whose true name is Ophraim, a worrier, one who likes to follow others. He asks many questions and says 'oh', a lot. HO is a girl whose true name is Honor, the thinker of the three and uses her thoughts before she goes ahead with any adventure. BO is a boy whose true name is Boris, rough, tough, and eager to go anywhere and do anything.
Their adventures take place in Canada, Mexico and the United States faced with obstacles of survival, making friends with animals that assist them along the way while staying out of sight and discovery by normal size people.
