Die Beiträge untersuchen das Verhältnis aus unterschiedlichen theologischen, religionswissenschaftlichen und hermeneutischen Perspektiven. Im Horizont des Dialogs zwischen Christentum und Islam hat das Verhältnis von Offenbarung und Sprache Differenzen markiert.
Demgegenüber sollen die Untersuchungen in diesem Band in das Zentrum einer Begegnung führen, die der Sprache der anderen einen wertschätzenden und anerkennenden Raum gibt, um so ein interreligiöses Gespräch zu öffnen, in dem Differenzen neu beleuchtet werden und sich Konvergenzen auftun können.
