Bryn and Libbie's mother walked out on them when the sisters were twelve and seven, leaving them in their house, alone, in the middle of winter.  No money.  No food.  No adults.  Bryn's eked out a living, barely, for her and her sister.  She works eighteen hours a day.  Libbie, not so much.  When Bryn is severely injured, dealing with a poacher trap on their little plot of land, it's decided that Bryn has to be hospitalized in order to prevent infection when there aren't any antibiotics to spare.  Libbie, for her own safety, is removed from the house into a temporary apartment.
She throws a fit and claims Bryn has destroyed her life, knowing Bryn has protected her all these years and may lose both her arms. When do you say you've had enough?
