Résumé
I didn't ask to be turned into a wolf. I didn't ask to be assigned to the most annoyingly perfect alpha in the Pacific Northwest pack. And I definitely didn't ask for him to be my new boss at the damn lumber mill. Look, I'm just trying to survive my first full moon without peeing on the CEO's shoes again. But Liam? He's got spreadsheets for how I should howl. He color-codes my fur shedding schedule.
He sends me passive-aggressive Slack messages about "optimal pack cohesion during lunar cycles." And worst of all? He smells like pine needles and bad decisions - and I'm weirdly into it. This isn't some Hallmark movie where we lock eyes across a campfire and suddenly everything's golden. This is me accidentally shifting in the break room because I forgot to take my suppressants. It's him yelling at me for tracking mud on the conference table.
It's us both pretending we don't notice how close we sit during pack meetings. And yeah, maybe I'm starting to like the way he growls when I mess up. Maybe I'm starting to like him. But here's the thing - Liam's got secrets. Big ones. Like why he's been avoiding the full moon for three years. Why he won't let anyone touch his left shoulder. And why the last guy who tried to date him vanished. I should run.
I should shift and never look back. But my stupid heart's already halfway to his den.
