Résumé

An honest, short, non-fiction story of my journey of adopting my two sons. The trials and tribulations one can go through with children who are born with drugs in their system.  My story is not unusual and at times it is heart-breaking. I wanted to tell it as a form of therapy for myself, but also in the hopes that someone who is going through a difficult process will read this and not feel alone.
When I started the process of adopting, there really wasn't anything I could find about the process of adopting to become the mom I always wanted to be. My sons are now young adults, thriving, and each doing well out on their own. I dedicate this to them and the hopes they will be happy successful men, which is all I have ever wanted for them.
