Résumé
Avery Young loves to bake and wishes ze could just be left alone to do only that, unfortunately running a successful bakery takes more than just delicious treats. Thankfully, zer best friend, Jude Peña, takes on the bulk of that, leaving Avery to what ze does best. Until Avery stumbles over the body of one of the bakery's best customers. What could Jake Diaz have ever done to make someone want to kill him? Jude Peña doesn't have a clue.
He always seemed to be a decent person, a good dad, a loyal customer. They'd be willing to leave the investigation up to their stepbrother, Alex, and the rest of the Salisdale Police Department. If only Avery didn't seem to be their prime suspect. As Avery and Jude conduct their own investigation, they start to realize they may not have known Jake as well as they thought. As secrets are revealed, it becomes obvious someone doesn't want the truth to come out.
Can the two of them figure out what that truth is before their lives get baked?
