Tyler Adams has just turned twelve and received a brand-new dirt bike for his birthday. He dreams of one day riding motocross at a professional level. Tyler and his friends, Mitch, Dusty, Tink and twins Asher and Lara have been riding dirt bikes since they were very young, beginning with Minikhana and have now progressed into the junior's category. Which means, Tyler now has to race against two of the most aggressive riders he's ever faced.

It elaborates on the life of farming sugar cane, knowing everyone in town and what it's really like growing up where the local take-away is famous for kangaroo burgers and the debate around town is which animal would win in a fight, a crocodile or a shark. The six friends overcome obstacles and learn new ways to approach life situations, all while tackling the first year of high school. Being twelve is a lot more complicated than Tyler had anticipated, but with courage, determination and support, Tyler learns he doesn't need a trophy to be a winner.
