Obadiah Brenneman and Clara Rose Yutzy have been friends since grade school. Their relationship is unusual, they know, but they both can recognize that a good friend is so important in life, regardless of gender. Yet they've never had any romantic feelings for each other. That is until Clara Rose tells Obie that she and longtime boyfriend, Thomas Lapp, are getting married. Once that news is out, Obie realizes that he can't let Clara Rose marry another.
