At a settlement built among the remnants of the Synthetic City, she teaches the women of the valley the "songs of the soil"-oral traditions that encode the scientific and ecological knowledge of Elias, Kaelen, Elara, and Nyla. She then returns to Kaelen's original sanctuary, where a new living seed bank is created. When Lyra finally returns to the soil, the genetic lineage ends, but its wisdom survives through community, memory, ritual, and stewardship.
In the far future, winter returns. The people use Lyra's songs to locate the hidden sanctuary, where a new kind of glowing spore begins to awaken, carrying hope into the next cycle.
