When mom's neighbor called and said she fell and broke her hip, I knew I would have to be back for an indefinite amount of time. I can't stand the town, it smells like cows, the people are noisy as all get out, and my past is here. A past I wanted to forget. I need to see Mitch and at least explain to him what happened and hope that he'll at least forgive me. Then, I can get back to my life in Houston, the life I love.
Why does she affect me the way she does? She broke my heart, then left. Now, she's back. Nothing good will come of this.
