Résumé

Sharky sounded like a predatory fish but in fact he was an intelligent dinosaur who lived 65 million years ago, although there was a predatory aspect about him. He was also a rocket jockey on the Moon, or the Orb World as the dragons of his species called it in that ancient age. Sharky was a dragon of strong opinions. When he didn't like someone or something, he wasn't shy about letting everyone know.
Two of the things he didn't like were airships and the so-called pilots who slowly floated from place to place in them. When he was told he had to turn two such pilots into rocketeers, that was too much and he just about had a fit. He also had a problem because the dragon bossing him around was one of the richest of these brainy reptiles who ever lived. Money talked back then just like it does now, and Sharky was not deaf to the mesmerizing clink and clatter of gold coins.
Before he knew it, he was racing around the Moon faster than a rifle bullet while seated next to someone who was accustomed to floating leisurely along. This strange arrangement proceeded more or less okay, until his partner's rocket vanished from sight with no warning. Were the pilot and the trainee on the other ship alive and if so where were they? Could they found before they ran out of air or froze to death during the long lunar night? No one had ever faced this problem before, and it turns out that the Moon is a lot bigger than most dragons (or people) think.
If you ignore the Earth's oceans, our planet's surface is only a few times larger than the Moon's: the area Sharky needed to search was immense, and time was short and getting shorter. Like a real shark, Sharky was used to dominating every fight, but how do you fight against the entire Moon? Mirror World of the Dragon is part of a series about a lost dinosaurian civilization. Each book stands by itself and can be read alone or with the others.
