Neo has been a lone wolf since the age of fourteen due to circumstances beyond her control.  After losing her family, Neo makes two promises to herself.  She will never again become part of a wolf pack and she will never fall in love. A chance opportunity has her auditioning for rising star, Aska Lunaske's band, as a guitarist.  Despite being unwilling to join Aska's pack, there is an instant connection between the two women and an immediate friendship develops.  With Neo suddenly thrust into Aska's company, a night out brings out Neo's jealous side when she watches another woman try and seduce Aska.  Furious and frustrated, Neo loses her cool and her wolf breaks free, desperate for Aska to notice her instead of anyone else.  With emotions heightened, and each other's scent driving them wild, Neo and Aska can't help but become involved with each other, even when they're fighting back against it. Neo tries to stay away but with Aska's scent telling her she's her mate, it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.  With Aska wanting more from her, and the tangible attraction a force to be reckoned with, Neo is desperate not to join the pack or be claimed but finds it increasingly difficult as her feelings for Aska intensify.
