In the shadow of Saturn, memory is no longer personal. Mirae-7 was supposed to be another frontier moon-terraform, secure, populate. Instead, it became the site of humanity's first contact with a civilization that didn't survive in bodies, but in remembrance. The Kalun'ja are gone. except they're not. Their memory lattice still grows beneath the soil, and it's hungry for continuity. Commander Raye K-01, a security clone built for protocol enforcement, arrives to deal with a rogue nanobot system-but finds herself pulled into a collapse of identity, agency, and self.
