Avoiding the cold is an innate aspect of human instinct, and indeed an integral part of human society. But what then if one were to openly challenge the norm and seek out cold rather than shirking it?The following story is a recollection of the author's attempts throughout his life to build up a relationship with an element often regarded as hostile. The story is told in the form of diary entries, hopping back and forth between the author's childhood and his most recent years.
