Résumé
In the bleak Rust Belt of Ohio and Michigan, Kingston, a struggling guitarist with a hereditary heart disease, meets Rachel, a timid singer crippled by severe stage fright. Bonded by poverty and a shared passion for music, they move into a leaky attic, vowing to chase their Nashville dreams together. Tragedy strikes repeatedly: Kingston's prized guitar is stolen after selling it for Rachel's mother's medical bills, a greedy producer tries to tear them apart for fame, and Kingston's weak heart fails completely.
After his sudden death, Rachel finds stacks of unfinished lyrics he left behind. She overcomes her fear of crowds and pours all her grief into singing their shared story, shooting her debut album straight to global stardom. Now holding a Grammy alone, will she truly find peace without the man who made every melody worth singing?
