Maryland is a Mid-Atlantic state that is defined by its abundant waterways and coastlines on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Its largest city, Baltimore, has a long history as a major seaport. Fort McHenry, birthplace of the U. S. national anthem, sits at the mouth of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, home to the National Aquarium and Maryland Science Center. The capital city is Annapolis which is home to the U.
S. Naval Academy. Maryland cuisine is most well-known for the Maryland Blue Crab and Old Bay seasoning. Other iconic Maryland foods include Utz Potato Chips, Berger Cookies, Thrashers French Fries and Natty Boh Beer. This cookbook contains many of the delicious traditional and inspired Maryland recipes for everyone to enjoy.
