Résumé

Cassandra Arnold has a life that is merely adequate. She works as a nursemaid for two young boys she adores, but their overbearing mother won't allow her to take the boys outside, which is something Cassandra needs. When her afternoon off leads her to visit an old friend, and she has the opportunity to realize there are ways to ensure her time gardening, she decides to leave her position and move west to marry a stranger.
Cameron Royal has no intention of marrying any time soon. His parents' marriage was an absolute disaster, and he doesn't want to risk turning into the type of father he had. His mother has other ideas for him, and she sends off for a mail order bride for him. When the bride arrives, Cameron wants nothing to do with her, and even refuses to marry her. As the two of them get to know one another, and his feelings for her grow, he realizes he isn't the only man with the idea of marrying the beautiful woman.
Will Cassandra agree to marry the man she went west to make her husband? Or will his initial reaction to her prevent her from being able to be his bride?
