Né en 1974 en banlieue parisienne, Jul, de son vrai nom Julien Berjeaut abandonne de brillantes études pour se consacrer à sa passion du dessin. Il collabore très rapidement avec le journal Marianne et dès 2000 se voit ouvrir les portes de Charlie Hebdo. Il connaît le succès avec "Il faut tuer José Bové", "La croisade s'amuse" et sa série "Silex and the City".
