Love by the Hour

When life-altering situations knock people down, there are three types of people:those who get up and fight their way through it;those who stay down and never recover;and one (and only one) person who does whatever she can in order to save her Italian leather shoes. This is the story of that one person, and she is a retired sex worker who wonders if she can find love, feel joy, and find a place to hide the body so the detective can't find it. This is probably not the kind of book you think it is.
There is a homicide, but this isn't a mystery. There is dating, but this isn't a romance. There is sex, but this is neither porn nor erotica. This is a dark comedy about things that aren't funny, but don't feel guilty if you find yourself snickering and chuckling your way through it. Warning: There is adult subject matter throughout this novel so it is recommended for mature readers only. Like any other story, however, it's less about the subject matter and more about how different people respond when faced with difficult situations.
