Résumé

At home, at work or with friends, the quality of our relationships defines who we are, and can govern our happiness, success and personal fulfilment. Gary Chapman, author of the multi-million bestseller THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES, shows how we can improve all our relationships - with friends, partners, family, colleagues, even strangers - by understanding the simple secrets of love. By placing the seven essential characteristics of love - kindness, patience, forgiveness, humility, courtesy, giving and honesty - at the centre of your life, you will find your relationships transformed, everyday struggles relieved and sense of happiness and purpose enhanced.
Gary Chapman is a relationship counselor and author of The Five Love Languagesseries. He is the director of Marriage and Family Life Consultants, Inc. and has a radio programme on marriage and relationships. Gary Chapman is also the senior associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He joined the staff in 1971 and shares the responsibilities of teaching and family care.
He is recognized internationally as a trusted intellectual Biblical teacher and relationship expert. He is perhaps best known for his concept of "Five Love Languages, " helping people speak and understand emotional love when it is expressed through one of five languages: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, or physical touch. Chapman argues that while each of these languages is enjoyed to some degree by all people, a person will usually speak one primary language, but all are important.
The Five Love Languages has sold nearly 5 million copies across the world. Gary Chapman's most recent book is Love As A Way Of Life
