Longarm goes after a murderous gang of mountain madmen!There's trouble afoot in the Ozark Mountain region of Arkansas, where a gang of low-down leadslingers is knocking off a series of stagecoaches and banks. But it's also the territory of legendary "Hanging Judge" Isaac Parker-and he wants U. S. Deputy Marshal Custis Long to infiltrate the gang and bust it up.   But as Longarm gets in deep with the prime suspects, and gets closer to a darling of a mountain doctor, he begins to suspect there's something bigger-and more dangerous-at play in the Ozarks.
And when he uncovers the bloody truth, the misty mountains are going to be murder.
