After visiting British-Raj India, Lightfoot became a passionate promoter of Indian dance and culture, helping introduce classical Indian dance, especially Kathakali of Kerala, to the Western world. She led a romantic, independent and international life. Told by her niece, this story is part inter-generational memoir, part biography, part dance history.
