Lisa Lowell was born and lives in rural western Oregon which provides a fine backdrop for the worlds she crafts. She writes fantasy and science fiction and teaches English and history to middle schoolers, which is almost as difficult. She and husband Pat have three children and a growing number of grandchildren. She also enjoys singing, drawing, and exploring genealogy.
