Kathy Stinson has loved reading all her life but was almost thirty before discovering that she loves writing too. Many of her picture books have been published internationally, including the classic Red Is Best and the award-winning The Man with the Violin. Kathy is also a novelist, short story writer, and poet. Mother, stepmother, and grandmother, she is still an avid reader who also enjoys photography, jigsaw puzzles, singing in a women's choir, and walking in the woods and fields near her home in Rockwood, Ontario.
Ellie Arscott has illustrated several children's books including The Warmest Blanket in the World (Second Story Press) and A is for Anne (Pownal Street Press).
Her illustration debut, Night Walk (Groundwood Books), was awarded the SCBWI Canada East Crystal Kite award. Ellie works in a little studio at the end of her garden in Toronto's east end where she lives with her family and two rambunctious kittens. You can see more of her work at elliearscott.com.
