At the age of fifty, poetry and photography became my gateway out of an abusive marriage. I began my journey in 2008 and am still going strong. In 2011, after publishing "Letters to a Prisoner, " my first book of poetry and black-and-white photography, I became a member of the Honolulu branch of the National League of American Pen Women. As an Arts and Letters member at large, I entered and won their coveted Vinnie Ream award in 2016 for my book "Hawaiian Time". Today, I serve as secretary for the SW Florida branch of the N.
