Résumé

Obediece That doesn't need Witnesses. What act of obedience can you offer God today without telling anyone about it?A quiet act of faith may look very ordinary: telling the truth when a shortcut would be easier, finishing a task you promised to complete, praying for someone who will never know, or refusing to repeat a private conversation. No applause follows. No one posts about it. Sometimes, no one even notices.
Yet God sees. He sees the choice made in the hidden place, where your motives are tested and your heart speaks honestly. Jesus teaches that obedience isn't made valuable by an audience. It is valuable because it is offered to the Father. Walking in the Word: We live in a world that often measures worth by attention. A job well done may need a review. A generous gift may receive public thanks. A faithful employee may hope the manager notices.
There's nothing wrong with appreciation, but obedience becomes fragile when praise is the reason we serve. If recognition disappears, our willingness can disappear with it. Jesus points us to a different kind of faithfulness. He isn't telling us to hide every good thing or reject encouragement. He is teaching us to examine why we do what we do. Are we serving because love has moved us, or because we're waiting for someone to say, "You're amazing"? Are we obeying God only when our choice can be seen, or do we trust Him in the quiet places too?
