Joan B. Flood grew up in Ireland and lived briefly in France and England before settling in Canada. A graduate of the Simon Fraser University's The Writers Studio, she has previously published the YA GBLT novel New Girl (Musa Publishing). Her short piece 87 received an honourable mention and publication in The Binnacle Ninth Annual Ultra-Short Story Contest at the University of Maine. Her fiction and non-fiction has been published in Canadian, American and Australian anthologies.
