Résumé
Die beiden Neutestamentler Hanna und Christian Stettler fragen in diesem existenzielle Themen ansprechenden Buch nach der biblischen Perspektive auf das Leben nach dem Tod. In verschiedenen Aufsätzen widmen sie sich zunächst der Gesamtschau von neuem Himmel und neuer Erde, sodann einzelnen Stationen (Tod, Unsterblichkeit der Seele, leibliche Auferstehung, Endgericht) und schließlich dem Weg zum ewigen Leben (Rechtfertigung, Frage der Allversöhnung).
Schwerpunkt ist eine Analyse der zentralen alt- und neutestamentlichen Texte zum Thema. Zudem wird die Relevanz des biblischen Befundes für die christliche Hoffnung und Lebensführung diskutiert. Jedem Aufsatz ist eine kurze englische und deutsche Zusammenfassung beigefügt. Das Buch richtet sich an Theologen, Pfarrer, Theologiestudierende und theologisch Interessierte. [Life After Death. In various essays, they first focus on the overall view of the new heaven and new earth, then on individual stages (death, immortality of the soul, bodily resurrection, final judgement) and finally on the path to eternal life (justification, the issue of universal reconciliation). The focus is on an analysis of central Old and New Testament texts on the subject. In addition, the relevance of the biblical findings for Christian hope and life is discussed. A short summary in English and German is added to each essay.
The book is aimed at theologians, pastors, students of theology and those interested in theology.
