Rian is a lowly serf who spends his days tending the fields, living under the yoke of his feudal Lord. One day, while sowing the winter turnips, a roving band of savage Orc women puts his fief to the torch. Along with all of the valuables, the Orcs take Rian as their prize, carting him back to their secluded stronghold. There, they put him to work cleaning, cooking, and serving them in any way they desire.
To his new masters, Rian is a captive, and servitude is cosmic punishment for his dishonor. To Rian, his situation has markedly improved. For the first time in his life, he has a soft bed, plentiful food, and a warm hearth. He might not give a damn about Orcish concepts of honor and strength, but if he wants to keep enjoying his new situation, he'll need to give the Orcs what they expect. Oblivious to any cultural differences and lacking much appreciation for sarcasm, will his brutish hosts ever find out that he's only pretending to lament his new role as their servant?
