The Ninth House leads to knowledge, growth of learning, spiritualism etc. The Twelfth House denotes salvation, global friendship and charity. The etymological meaning of Guru (Jupiter) is destroyer of ignorance. (Gu = ignorance, ru = destroyer). A strong Jupiter with a strong Saturn makes person achieve what he sets out for.

The fast moving planets like Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars provide movement to action, gains and the shifts of tactics and events in life. The Puranas also describe the harmful effects of Jupiter. It is said that Ram had to go in exile as the Jupiter was in the ascendant (lagna). Jupiter in the third house sent Bali to the netherworld (Paatal).
Jupiter in the fourth house was responsible for the trials and tribulations of King Harishchandra. Jupiter in the sixth house lead to Draupadi being de-robed while being in the eighth house it caused Ravana's destruction. Jupiter in the tenth and twelfth houses caused the death of Duryodhan and Pandu. Saturn is related to the ability to act and produce effect. The existence capability latent, dormant and lurking as reflected by Jupiter can be yoked by our work, the potential of work becoming productive and the gains is what Saturn signifies and is related to NOW.
In politics Saturn is the leader of the masses, sacrificing for the poor, striving for the welfare of the people and a karaka for democracy. People ruled by a beneficial Saturn display no arrogance, are friendly, courteous, helpful, and charitable by nature. These people help others move forward in life. These people are learned and make good teachers, researchers, and ministers and are visionaries by nature.
Traits like knowledge, interest in community welfare and brotherly love for all are apparent in their demeanour. This is a book which would be useful for students as well as those advanced in the study of astrology. From the basics it goes into aspects and the impact of conjunctions, placements, Nakshatra and results due to conjunctions which have been explained in context to the Nadi system.
