In the years of the Black Plague when law and order break down, two people come together in search of hope in a landscape of devastation. After losing her whole family to the Black Plague and fleeing her home, Collette turns to brigandry on the roads in order to survive. Mathieu is a returned soldier from the Hundred Years' War. He and his comrades turn to brigandry for sport and profit. When these two lost souls discover a secret village untouched by the Plague, it looks like Heaven on Earth, but dangers lurk around every corner.
The peace and tranquillity can't last as their pasts catch up with them and both must make life-changing choices for one last shot at redemption.
