Thanks to the support of her new friends, Kennedy has left her more than a decade-long dead-end relationship. Still adjusting to being single, Kennedy finds herself hired on to dance at a kink show. She's never been to anything like this before and is excited to see what it's like. She's also nervous as hell to perform in public for the first time due, feeling that she doesn't have a proper dancer's body due to cruel things her ex said to her.
At the event, she meets a man who does his best to dissuade her from that notion. He makes her feel beautiful and wanted and they share a passionate night together. The Healing Hearts series is full of hot scenes, but is also filled with warm tender moments and amazing friendships. We learn more about a friend of hers who has controlling/abusive parents and about another friend who has been shamed for his sexuality/sexual preferences. I do try not to go too in depth with these things and to put the focus on trying to heal and move forward with support from loved ones.
